Mangoes, watermelons, and cantaloupes made big showings this week, joining up with the Georgia, South Carolina, and California peaches and nectarines hitting the market. Red cherries from California continued to be well advertised. Zucchini, yellow squash, corn, and asparagus from multiple origins were among the most popular vegetables this week.  Graduation was the top focus for promotions, with floral arrangements and roses heavily featured.  \n\nTotal ad numbers this week were 257,846, a 10% decrease from last week's total of 286,124.  The total for the same week last year was 11% higher at 289,738.  The total number of ads broken out by commodity groups: fruit 145,879 (57%), onions and potatoes 18,431 (7%), vegetables 88,523 (34%), herbs 1,233, ornamentals 2,362, and hemp 2,651.  The number of ads for organic produce was 25,565, 10% of total ads.  \n\nThe following are the prices of major advertised items (3,000 plus ads) this week, compared to the same week last year.   Significant increases in price for fruit this week included Pink Lady apples (3 lb. bag) at 36%, yellow mangoes at 35%, red cherries at 20%, blackberries (5.6-6 oz.) at 17%, raspberries (6 oz.), cantaloupes (each) at 12%, and strawberries (1 lb.) at 11%.  Significant decreases included only tangerines (3 lb.) at 26%.  There were no significant changes for potatoes and onions this week.  Significant increases for vegetables this week included only cucumbers (each) at 15%.
