Nonetheless, there were plenty of opportunities for shoppers to score deals on their favorite produce items.  Organic and conventional strawberries, grapes, mangoes, berries, cantaloupes, and citrus were among the most advertised fruits this week.  With grilling weather gracing most parts of the country, corn, bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and zucchini were well-featured.  Though not as plentiful as last week, ads for ornamentals were prevalent.  \n\nTotal ad numbers this week were 286,884, a 9% decrease from last week's total of 313,925.  The total for the same week last year was 3% higher at 294,443.  The total number of ads broken out by commodity groups: fruit 147,650 (51%), onions and potatoes 24,050 (8%), vegetables 111,114 (38%), herbs 1,476, ornamentals 2,990, and hemp 1,080.  The number of ads for organic produce was 32,770, 11% of total ads.  \n\nThe following are the prices of major advertised items (3,000 plus ads) this week, compared to the same week last year.   Significant increases in price for fruit this week included only mangoes, with yellow varieties at 32% and round varieties at 28%.  Significant decreases included Gala apples (per lb.) at 28%, organic strawberries (1 lb. package) at 21%, white seedless grapes at 15%, Cara Cara Navel oranges (3 lb. bag) at 15%, and blueberries (1 pint) at 13%.  Significant changes in price for onions and potatoes this week included only a 31% increase for Russet potatoes (5 lb. bag).  There were no significant increases in price for vegetables this week. Decreases included white mushrooms (8 oz.) at 29%, cauliflower (each) at 12%, vine ripe tomatoes at 12%, and organic baby peeled carrots (1 lb. bag) at 11%."]], "columns": ["rowid", "report_date", "title", "narrative"], "primary_keys": ["rowid"], "primary_key_values": ["54"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.7959408685564995, "source_url": "https://hawaiifoodatlas.com", "license": "public domain"}
