Snack tray favorites like mushrooms, baby carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers, radishes, grapes, cantaloupes, strawberries, grape tomatoes, and celery were all well-advertised.  Items associated with Easter and Passover were popular, including asparagus, beets, corn, broccoli, cantaloupes, and apples.  Lemons and limes were often advertised alongside seafood and fish for Lenten meals. Tulips, daffodils, gladiolas, and roses were well represented in the ads this week, with both fresh-cut and potted options on sale.  \n\nTotal ad numbers this week were 282,595, a 6% decrease from last week's total of 301,638.  The total for the same week last year was 6% higher at 299,114.  The total number of ads broken out by commodity groups: fruit 142,705 (50%), onions and potatoes 20,612 (7%), vegetables 113,168 (40%), herbs 1,050, ornamentals 2,482, and hemp 3,628.  The number of ads for organic produce was 35,204, 12% of total ads.  \n\nThe following are the prices of major advertised items (3,000 plus ads) this week, compared to the same week last year.   Significant increases in price for fruit this week included strawberries (1 lb. package) at 13% and cantaloupes (each) at 10%.   Significant decreases included seedless grapes (red at 35%, white at 32%, black at 19%) and Cara Cara Navel oranges (3 lb. bag) at 29%.   There were no significant changes in price for onions and potatoes this week.  Significant increases in price for vegetables this week included cucumbers at 23% and asparagus at 22%.  Decreases included on-the-vine tomatoes at 23%, baby peeled carrots (1 lb. bag) at 19%, Roma tomatoes at 15%, broccoli crowns at 10%, and packaged salad (5-9 oz.) at 10%."]], "columns": ["rowid", "report_date", "title", "narrative"], "primary_keys": ["rowid"], "primary_key_values": ["58"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9901504963636398, "source_url": "https://hawaiifoodatlas.com", "license": "public domain"}
