Grapes make a healthy snack for football watching, while peppers can add a spicy kick to any dish.\n\nTotal ad numbers this week were 302,585, a 5% increase from last week's total of 289,351.   The total for the same week last year was 11% lower at 272,431.  The total number of ads broken out by commodity groups: fruit 154,271 (51% of all ads), onions and potatoes 23,797 (8%), vegetables 119,864 (34%), herbs 3,288, ornamentals 2,535, and hemp 2,118. The number of ads for organic produce was 40,859, 14% of total ads.  \n\nThe following are the prices of major advertised items (3,000 plus ads) this week, compared to the same week last year. Significant increases in price for fruit this week were Yellow Flesh Peaches at 10%. Significant decreases in fruit included Navel Oranges (3 lb bags) at 24%, Grapes (Black seedless) at 13%, and Gala Apples (3 lb. bag) at 11%.  There were no significant changes in price for potatoes and onions this week. Significant increases in price for vegetables this week included green bell peppers at 27%.
